The Notebook

The Notebook with the tagline "Behind every great love is a great story." was released last 2004 and was directed by Nick Cassavetes. It was starred by James Garner (Duke), Gena Rowlands (Old Allie), Ryan Gosling (Noah Calhoun) and Rachel McAdams (Allie Hamilton). The movie was about A poor and passionate young man falls in love with a rich young woman and gives her a sense of freedom. They soon are separated by their social differences.

The movie started in a modern-day nursing home, an elderly man named Duke (James Garner) begins to read a love story from his notebook to a female fellow patient (Gena Rowlands). The story was about an epic love story that was started in one magical summer, when, local country boy Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) sees seventeen-year-old heiress Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) on a carnival. The two fell in love and was forced to be separated since Allie’s parents disapprove Noah since his family is not wealthy like Allie’s.
Noah writes Allie 365 letters but her mom keeps it from her so she never gets them. They move on their lives. Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon, and Noah came back from war and restores the house him and Allie dreamed of that night before they got separated it was a 'labor of love' and thinking Allie would comeback if he did it. And he was correct Allie saw his picture with the house on a newspaper. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he restored for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiance and her first love.

Serendipity... Waiting In Vain by Annie Lennox

Well... been hiatus for quite a while. Been busy with playing online games and managing my business. As I was browsing youtube I came across with the music video entitled Waiting In Vain by Annie Lennox... All the memories came back. About the movie Serendipity...

Waiting In Vain by Annie Lennox

I am sure you most of you guys have watch the movie Serendipity starring John Cusack (Jonathan Trager) and Kate Beckinsale (Sara Thomas). It was a movie way back 2001, a romantic comedy about destiny's hold on two people who seek nothing but each other.

The movie was fun and I recommend it for those romantic couples out there. As the movie goes on a you can see there how faith or some other say destiny takes place. But one thing I have learned about this movie is that although faith or destiny is the major course of the movie , I can say that faith or destiny will not happen if you do not do anything... If you have watch the movie even though both characters were driven to each other by faith or destiny they still do something to make things happen one good example was the the part when he is looking for the book where Sara put her number on it. Come to think of it if Jonathan did no look for the book his fiance will not give him the book as a wedding gift. But whats funny about it is that after all that they both did to find each other it was really faith brought them together...
